Number of Vacancies: The Department of State is developing a rank-order List of Eligible Hires to fill a limited number of Foreign Service Information Resources Officer vacancies. The specific number to be hired will depend on the needs of the Foreign Service.
Area of Consideration: All Sources
Location: Individuals must be willing to serve world-wide. Generally, following a brief orientation period at the Department of State in Washington, D.C., newly hired Foreign Service Information Resources Officers will serve an initial two year tour at a Foreign Service post overseas, and will usually spend approximately 75 percent of their careers stationed abroad, moving at two-to-four year intervals. The remainder of their time will be spent at the Department of State in Washington, D.C.
The Department of State's Office of International Information Programs (IIP) is the principal international strategic communications service for the foreign affairs community. Multi-functional IIP teams design, develop, and implement a variety of information initiatives created strictly for key international audiences, such as the media, government officials, opinion leaders, and academia in more than 160 countries around the world. IIP prides itself on using cutting-edge technology and strategic alliances to produce information products and services, including Web sites, electronic journals, speaker programs, and print publications uniquely designed to support State Department initiatives, as well as those of other U.S. foreign policy organizations.
Through its corps of 30 Foreign Service Information Resources Officers, IIP provides professional direction and guidance to 170 Information Resource Centers located at U.S. embassies abroad, while the headquarters office in Washington establishes overall program policy, and provides technical and administrative support, centralized acquisition of electronic information resources, and centralized training programs.
All Information Resources Officers assigned overseas have regional positions. Information Resources Officers work closely with the Information Resource Center programs at their home posts and are responsible for regularly visiting all the Information Resource Centers within their areas of regional responsibility, which may include five to ten countries. Information Resources Officers are presently assigned to the following home posts: Abu Dhabi, Abuja, Bangkok, Beijing, Berlin, Brasilia, Buenos Aires, Cairo, Dakar, Jakarta, Lagos, Mexico City, Moscow, Nairobi, New Delhi, Pretoria, Rome, Tokyo, Vienna, and Washington, D.C.
While the preference of an applicant for a particular post or area of assignment is given every possible consideration, assignments are dictated by "the needs of the Foreign Service."
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Foreign Service Information Resources Officers provide professional leadership and support to 170 Information Resource Centers located at U.S. embassies and consulates around the world, and to the 450 Foreign Service National employees who operate them. Through extensive travel within the assigned region, Information Resources Officers provide professional direction and guidance to Information Resource Centers by:
* Counseling and assisting U.S. Mission officials in determining and developing the most effective program of information resources and services needed to meet the post's Public Diplomacy and Mission goals.
* Establishing an annual plan of activities and program development in consultation with post officials and Information Resource Center staff, which includes identifying the funding, staffing, and facilities necessary to support the program.
* Evaluating Information Resource Center management policies and practices, and advising post officials on methodology for improving productivity and effectiveness.
* Evaluating Information Resource Center information resources, and advising post officials on electronic and print collection development needs.
* Supervising or advising post officials on the supervision of Foreign Service National employees who operate U.S. Mission Information Resource Centers.
* Assessing the professional development needs of Foreign Service National staff, providing direct on-the-job training, and creating training programs to meet regional staff development requirements.
* Demonstrating and promoting the use of U.S. electronic information resources, including those developed by IIP or other U.S. Government agencies which address issues of U. S. public policy, to Foreign Service National staff, U.S. Mission officials, and foreign audience members from local institutions which the U.S. Mission has identified as key to the bilateral relationship with the United States.
* Evaluating and reporting on host country information infrastructure to determine and recommend realistic information programs and applications of electronic information technology appropriate for the local environment.
* Establishing and maintaining contacts with host country information institutions as a representative of the U.S. professional information community, to support the creation of U.S.-host country institutional linkages, international exchanges, and local institutional development, as appropriate.
* Evaluating and reporting to Washington (IIP and Regional Bureaus) on the Information Resource Center programs in the geographic area of regional responsibility, and recommending program improvements.
COMPENSATION AND TENURE
The salary grade for Foreign Service Information Resources Officers is FP-03. The actual salary is dependent upon such factors as additional graduate level education and directly-related specialized experience beyond that necessary to satisfy qualifications criteria. To be creditable, such education and specialized experience must be in excess to that which is required to qualify as described under Education and Qualifications Requirements and Specialized Requirements. Salary level will be determined at the time of a conditional offer of employment. Individuals already working in government positions may be appointed based on highest previous rate as a Federal employee, which will be determined at the time of a conditional offer of employment.

Foreign Service Information Resources Officers are considered for promotion annually in competition with others in their specialty. Foreign Service Career Candidates are considered for tenure by a Tenuring Board after they acquire a minimum of two years experience in the Foreign Service as a Specialist Career Candidate.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the general requirements for employment in the Foreign Service, an applicant must have an M.L.S. (Master's in Library and Information Science) from an American Library Association-accredited graduate program and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the library or information center programs or services, with in-depth experience in functional areas relevant to the State Department's Information Resource Center program. Knowledge of and experience in the use of current information technologies are essential as U.S. Mission Information Resource Centers operate in an electronic environment.
SPECIALIZED REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of recent, progressively responsible experience in functional areas relevant to the Department of State's Information Resource Center program. Specialized experience must demonstrate the applicant possesses the in-depth knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform effectively as an Information Resources Officer at any U.S. State Department mission overseas.
* Knowledge of current U.S. library and information science theory and practice, with special emphasis on electronic information resources and services.
* Experience in the administration of substantial library or information center programs and services, including development of policy, program planning, and budgeting.
* In-depth experience in one or more functional areas of library or information center work, such as administration, reference, collection development, or information technology.
* Ability to work effectively with officials and foreign national staff to design, implement, evaluate and promote Information Resource Center programs in a cross-cultural environment.
* Ability to supervise and effectively manage the activities of subordinates involved in the production and transfer of library or information center products or services.
* Knowledge of Internet-based and commercial database electronic information resources.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

* Background in the social sciences, with particular emphasis on U.S. public policy and foreign relations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serving as a Foreign Service Health Practitioner in support of the employees of the United States Government and their eligible family members, a health practitioner may work independently or in conjunction with other Foreign Service medical personnel. The Foreign Service Health Practitioner duties include implementing the following procedures at each post of responsibility:
* Provides primary health-care at home posts and regional posts to authorized patients.
* Collaborates with Regional Medical Officers (physician and/or psychiatrist) and Foreign Programs as needed
* Recommends and facilitates medical/dental evacuation as necessary.
* Evaluates the quality of local and regional health care providers and facilities.
* Establishes and maintains professional relationships with local providers and other health care facilities.
* Maintains appropriate communication with constituent regional posts in order to advise home and regional posts management on current medical issues, policy questions with medical implications and to provide administrative and technical health care guidance to personnel.
* Monitors environmental health and safety conditions and acts as liaison with local and U.S. authorities.
* Assures sanitation surveys and monitors inspection of post food facilities.
* Provides a proactive disease prevention and health education program at home and regional posts.
* Prepares Health and Information Booklet.
* Actively participates in the annual budget preparation for the Health Unit.
* Administers the Health Unit and supervises Health Unit support staff.
* Organizes Primary Care Conferences for U.S. Embassy local hire medical professionals.
Foreign Service Health Practitioners are considered "essential personnel" and are on call to provide services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
THE FOREIGN SERVICE HEALTH PRACTITIONER CAREER
The Office of Medical Services in the Department of State maintains and promotes the health of employees and their eligible family members who represent U.S. Government agencies abroad. The Department assigns Foreign Service Health Practitioners, Medical Officers, Medical Officer / Psychiatrists and Medical Technologists to selected posts overseas. Many of these posts have significant health risks and local medical facilities are often inadequate to cope with them. The Foreign Service Health Practitioner assumes the role of primary care provider, and is responsible for administering a full range of community health care services, including preventive health education for the U.S. Embassy's official community.

While the hiring of all medical professionals will start at FP3, Step 1, additional steps may be granted based on the following criteria:
* One in-grade step increase may be given for the first (and only the first) graduate degree below the doctoral level in a work-related field, awarded before the date of appointment.
* Two additional steps may be given for a doctoral degree in a work-related field, awarded before the date of the appointment.
* One step for a masters degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health
Foreign Service Health Practitioners compete for promotion annually with others in their specialty up to the level of Senior Foreign Service. The Foreign Service Career candidate will become eligible for tenure after a minimum of three years of service.
MEDICAL CREDENTIALING & INDEMNIFICATION
Applicants are subject to a Medical Credentialing process conducted by the Quality Improvement Staff of the Office of Medical Services. The Medical Credentialing process includes queries of the National Practitioner Data Bank and Physician Data Profile through the American Medical Association (AMA). Once hired, medical personnel are indemnified for official duties only through the U.S. Federal Tort Claims Act.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the general requirements for employment in the Foreign Service, an applicant must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing or in a related medical field that includes public/community health in the curriculum. Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program at the time of appointment. A review panel will recommend the most competitive candidates be invited to take a proctored writing examination as part of the final assessment . The ability to draft an essay which will demonstrate a command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation will be an important consideration in order to participate in an oral assessment, which is explained further in the enclosed supplement, "Information and Benefits for Foreign Service Specialists."
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Applicants must be currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a state, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, a territory of the United States or the District of Columbia and must have current national certification as an NP or PA from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Applications will not be accepted from Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants who are not currently licensed and certified. National Board certification and re-certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant must be maintained.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must have a minimum of four years of recent experience providing direct patient care, which includes at least two years experience following NP or PA certification; such experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Applicants must have experience providing primary care. Candidates must have specialized experience as an FNP or PA including chronic and emergency care, in an independent family or general practice setting. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage administrative aspects of a health unit as well as the ability to cope with extraordinary medical crisis, often in remote and isolated settings. Education and experience must demonstrate that the applicant can function as a public/community health provider.
Applicant must be a skilled and experienced primary health care practitioner who recognizes and understands the problems of delivering health care to a large group of Americans posted in widely varied settings , often where local medical resources are limited or non existent. Experience in providing long distance triage and care via electronic communications such as telephone, radio, telegram and e-mail to individuals is important.
Candidates must be able to develop, coordinate, and administer health care delivery programs. These include but are not limited to individual and community health promotion and disease prevention programs. This includes teaching health topics to both small and large groups. They must provide comprehensive health assessments and medical care to individuals and families across the life span.
Candidates must be able to organize and supervise a diverse group of health care providers who have varying degrees of expertise, education and command of the English language. Candidates must understand the unique cultural differences related to health care delivery in varied countries and address these differences in a positive manner. The candidate must be able to assess, diagnose, and treat infectious diseases.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills. These include the capacity to achieve the cooperation and confidence of patients, coworkers, supervisors, and subordinates. Individuals need experience in team building, leadership and management.
Candidates must be able to write and communicate clearly. Communications skills include clear and concise communication of medical findings to medical professionals and nonprofessionals alike.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Serving as a Regional Medical Technologist (RMT) in support of the employees of the United States' Government and their eligible family members, a medical technologist may work in conjunction with other Foreign Service medical personnel. Regional Medical Technologist duties include implementing the following procedures at each post of responsibility:
* Manages the health unit laboratory at assigned post and supervises the locally hired medical technologist. Performs testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Parasitology, Immunology, Microbiology, and Urinalysis.
* Oversees the performance of locally hired medical technologists in health unit laboratories at regional posts to assure delivery of reliable laboratory services. These regional posts are within and outside of the country of assigned post.

THE REGIONAL MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST CAREER
The Office of Medical Services in the Department of State maintains and promotes the health of employees and their accompanying family members who represent United States Government agencies abroad. The Department assigns Foreign Service Medical Technologists, Medical Officers, Medical Officers/Psychiatrists, and Health Practitioners to selected posts overseas. Many of these posts have significant health risks and local medical care that is inadequate by U.S. standards. The Foreign Service Medical Technologist performs a wide variety of unusual and specialized tests and procedures ranging from difficult to more complex in nature in a variety of fields, such as Parasitology, Microbiology, Mycology, Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Banking and Urinalysis. Duties also include training contract Medical Technologists and developing quality control standards.
Regional Medical Technologists are presently serving in Beijing, Cairo, Dakar, Jakarta, Lagos, Mexico City, Moscow, New Delhi, and Washington, D.C.

COMPENSATION AND TENURE
The starting salary range for Regional Medical Technologists is FP-05, Step 1 through 14. The salary is dependent upon such factors as graduate level education and directly related specialized experience not used to satisfy qualifications criteria experience. Salary level will be determined at the time of a conditional offer of employment. To be creditable, such education and specialized experience must be in excess of that which is required to qualify as described under Education and Specialized Experience Requirements. Individuals already working in government positions may be appointed based on highest previous rate as a Federal employee.
While the hiring of all medical professionals will start at Step 1, additional steps may be granted based on the following criteria:

Regional Medical Technologists are administratively promoted from FP-05 to level FP-04 level after 18 months of satisfactory performance. Beyond the FP-04 level, Regional Medical Technologists are considered for promotion annually in competition with others in their specialty. Foreign Service career candidates are considered for tenure by a tenuring board after they acquire a minimum of three years experience in the Foreign Service as a specialist career candidate.
MEDICAL CREDENTIALING & INDEMNIFICATION
Applicants are subject to a medical credentialing process conducted by the Quality Improvement Staff of the Office of Medical Services. Once hired, medical personnel are indemnified for official duties only through the U.S. Federal Tort Claims Act.

Applicant must have a minimum of a bachelors degree in Medical Technology, clinical laboratory science or chemistry, physical, or biological science from a recognized institution, and four years of laboratory experience with at least 2 years generalist training/experience and two years experience in a designated specialty/subspecialty. The patient population covered is unique because of background and lifestyle as part of a diplomatic community overseas. This population also differs in terms of clinical and administrative needs and the national security concerns inherent in their employment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
DEGREE: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from a school in the United States or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of the applicant's graduation. A Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalency degree from a foreign medical school that provided educational and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States may be demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country.
GRADUATE TRAINING: Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree, a candidate must have had at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in an institution accredited for such training. Graduate training programs include only those internship, residency, and fellowship programs that are approved by accrediting bodies recognized within the United State or Canada.
* An internship program (post graduate 1 year) involves broadly based clinical practice in which physicians acquire experience in treating a variety of medical problems under supervision (e.g. internal medicine, surgery, general practice, obstetrics-gynecology, and pediatrics). Such programs are in hospitals or other institutions accredited for internship training by a recognized body of the American Medical Association (AMA) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

Number of Vacancies: The Department of State is developing a rank-order List of Eligible Hires to fill a limited number of Foreign Service Regional Medical Officer/Psychiatrist vacancies. The specific number to be hired will depend on the needs of the Foreign Service.

Location: Individuals must be willing to serve worldwide. Generally, following a brief orientation period at the Department of State in Washington, D. C., newly hired Foreign Service Medical Officer/Psychiatrists will serve an initial two year tour at a Foreign Service post overseas and will usually spend an average of 80 percent of their careers stationed abroad, moving at two-to-four year intervals. The remainder of their time spent will be spent in the Department of State in Washington, D. C.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Serving in support of the employees of the United States government and their eligible family members, the Regional Medical Officer/Psychiatrist (RMO/P) may work independently or in conjunction with other Foreign Service medical personnel. The RMO/P duties include implementing the following procedures at each post of responsibility:
* Provide primary psychiatric care for each post in the RMO/P's geographical region.
* Coordinate medical evacuation of patients from post to appropriate treatment facilities.
* Regularly visit all overseas posts within the RMO/P's geographical region to provide direct patient care and preventive mental health programs relevant to Foreign Service communities.
* Provide crisis intervention in situations such as terrorist incidents, political disturbances, or natural disasters where USG personnel are involved.
* Provide consultations to health unit staffs, post management, and community schools at regional posts and the RMO/P's post of assignment.
* Advise post management on mental health issues and morale problems affecting Foreign Service communities.
* Assist each post in the identification, evaluation and selection of competent local mental health care providers.
* Assist other Foreign Service health professionals in the management of medical problems as needed.
Foreign Service Medical Officers/Psychiatrists are considered "essential personnel" and are on call to provide services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
THE REGIONAL MEDICAL OFFICER/PSYCHIATRIST CAREER
The Office of Medical Services in the Department of State maintains and promotes the health of employees and their accompanying family members who represent United States government agencies abroad. The Department assigns Foreign Service Medical Officers/Psychiatrists, Medical Officers, Health Practitioners, and Medical Technologists to selected posts overseas. Many of these posts have significant health risks and local medical care that is inadequate by U.S. standards. The Foreign Service Medical Officer/Psychiatrist is responsible for providing mental health care to members of the official American community in several countries within a regional geographic area.
Regional Medical Officers/Psychiatrists are presently serving in Accra, Bangkok, Cairo, Lima, Nairobi, London, Mexico City, Moscow, New Delhi, Pretoria, Tokyo, Vienna, and the District of Columbia.
While the preference of an applicant for a particular post or area of assignment is given every possible consideration, assignments are dictated by "the needs of the service."
COMPENSATION AND TENURE
The salary range for RMO/P is FP-01, Step 1 through 14. The salary is dependent on such factors as graduate level education and directly-related specialized experience not used to satisfy qualifications criteria. Salary level will be determined at the time of a conditional offer of employment. To be creditable, such education and specialized experience must be in excess to that which is required to qualify as described under education and specialized experience requirements and will be determined at the time of a conditional offer of employment. Individuals already working in government positions may be appointed based on highest previous rate as a Federal employee.
The Department of State has current authority from the Office of Management and Budget to enter into agreement with psychiatrists enabling allowances of $30,000 a year to full-time physicians with more than five years of Federal service, $22,000 a year to full-time physicians with more than 2 years of Federal service, and $14,000 to those with less than two years of Federal service. Federal service must have been as a physician.
EDUCATION
* One in-grade step increase may be given for the first (and only the first) graduate degree below the doctoral level in a work-related field, awarded before the date of appointment.
* Two additional steps may be given for a doctoral degree in a work-related field, awarded before the date of the appointment.
* One step for a masters degree from an accredited college or university in public health
EXPERIENCE
* Two steps for board certified in Psychiatry and/or Neurology or other appropriate areas of board certification, which after evaluation and review are deemed appropriate to the needs of the Service. In addition, the psychiatrist receives at least 10 hours of category 1 CME credit through an annual State Department-sponsored continuing medical education program.
RMO/Ps are considered for promotion annually in competition with others in their specialty, and have the promotion headroom to achieve senior Foreign Service ranks. Foreign Service career candidates are considered for tenure by a tenuring board after they acquire a minimum of three years experience in the Foreign Service as a specialist career candidate.
MEDICAL CREDENTIALING & INDEMNIFICATION
Applicants are subject to a medical credentialing process conducted by the Quality Improvement Staff of the Office of Medical Services. The medical credentialing process includes queries of the National Practitioner Data Bank and Physician Data Profile through the American Medical Association (AMA). Once hired, medical personnel are indemnified for official duties only through the U.S. Federal Tort Claims Act.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the general requirements for employment in the Foreign Service, an applicant must have a Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent degree at the time of appointment, as stipulated below, and be able to pass a writing skills assessment which may be conducted following successful completion of the initial review stage and qualifications review panel. The panel will recommend the most competitive candidates be invited to take a proctored writing examination. The ability to draft an essay which will demonstrate a command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation will be an important consideration to participate in an oral assessment, which is explained further in the enclosed supplement, "Information and Benefits for Foreign Service Specialists."

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
DEGREE: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from a school in the United States or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of the applicant's graduation. A Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalency degree from a foreign medical school that provided educational and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States may be demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign county.
GRADUATE TRAINING: The applicant must have completed an internship and psychiatric residency training program approved by a recognized accrediting body within the United States or Canada.
LICENSURE AND BOARD CERTIFICATION
Applicants must have a current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Applications will not be accepted from psychiatrists who are not currently licensed. The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology must currently certify applicants in psychiatry. Board must certification and re-certification must be maintained.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years of post-residency clinical experience in adult or child/adolescent psychiatry with at least 50% of the applicant's time involved in direct patient care during the last 5 years.
Applicants with only four years of clinical experience beyond residency may apply for a position, in anticipation of completing the five-year requirement at the time of appointment. Such experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Applicants must be able to sufficiently integrate clinical, administrative and management skills to effectively meet the mental health needs of U.S. Foreign Service employees and their eligible family members assigned overseas. Regional Medical Officer/Psychiatrists must be skilled and experienced clinicians able to gain the confidence of their patients, co-workers and supervisors, and capable of working independently in complex and difficult situations. Applicants must be able to recognize and treat a wide range of mental health disorders and manage the special challenges of providing care to a diverse population, scattered over a large geographical area where local medical and mental health resources may be limited or not-existent. Clinical experience in child/adolescent psychiatric, marital/family therapy, cross cultural psychiatry, crisis intervention and substance abuse is desirable.
The applicant must be able to provide expert consultation and guidance to Foreign Service Medical Officers and other health practitioners with varying backgrounds and levels of training. Applicants with experience in team building, leadership, and management in a multidisciplinary setting are preferred. Applicants must have effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner to both medical and non-medical personnel. Public speaking skills as well as knowledge and hands-on familiarity of computer systems and software are also desirable qualities.
The RMO/P's patient population is unique because of background and lifestyle as part of a diplomatic community overseas. This population also differs in terms of clinical and administrative needs and the national security concerns inherent in their employment. Therefore, at least one (1) overseas assignment as a Foreign Service Regional Medical Officer/Psychiatrist is preferable. A thorough understanding of the unique needs of the Department and the rigors of Foreign Service life is also preferred.

Purpose: To allow an opportunity to describe your experiences that relate to the required skills which best show your ability to accomplish the work of the Foreign Service Medical Officer/Psychiatrist.
Instructions: Using plain white paper and either a typewriter or word processor, individually address each of the numbered items listed below, limiting responses to 200 words or less for each item. The writing should be double-spaced. Examples can be drawn from any part of your experience, but must reflect personal accomplishments. You should compose your replies carefully, as one of the skills required of an experienced Medical Officer/Psychiatrist is the ability to write clearly and concisely.
1. Organizational Abilities: Describe a specific achievement demonstrating your planning and organizational skills in the setting of a multidisciplinary mental health team or practice.
2. Leadership and Teamwork Abilities: Discuss your abilities to participate as a team member working toward a common goal, as well as examples of your ability to lead a team in the accomplishment of a goal.
3. Public Speaking and Teaching Ability: Describe specific examples demonstrating your public speaking and teaching abilities as part of an assignment or work-related task.
4. Crisis Management Skills: Describe at least one example in which your skills as a crisis manager significantly contributed to the positive outcome of a complex or difficult clinical situation.
