I used to be a welder before I joined GM here in Detroit.
Are there any good business opportunities in welding that anyone knows? Any areas where welders are in demand now? I would move to any area where welders are needed. |

I guess you could just put your welding equipment on your truck and start knocking doors, lol.
![]() Or print up a simple flyer to post on neigboorhoods. "Traveling Welder Joe (big red GM truck) will be on this street Saturday May 3, Sunday June 5, Monday August 7. 2009. Will do any kind of welding job in your home. Cost: USD 15 per simple job or USD 15 per hour. Call 1234 1234" |

Hey,
That's actually a pretty good idea. What do I have to loose? Nothing. I might try this. Thanks Tracy!

I don't know what to tell ya fella. I'm a welder myself and I've been out of work here in Indy since April. Nobody wants to hire right now. I'm hoping it will turn around soon, however it's not looking real good right now. Oh, by the way, be cautious with the Craigslist thing. I've met some real weirdoos dealing with it. It seems to bring out some real shady characters. (In my humble opinion)
